| 01 | Commerce | A Master’s degree with 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point-scale wherever the grading system is followed) in Commerce from an Indian University, or an equivalent degree from an accredited foreign university. Besides fulfilling the above qualifications, the candidate must have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by the UGC or the CSIR, or a similar test accredited by the UGC, like SLET/SET or who are or have been awarded a Ph.D. Degree in accordance with the University Grants Commission (Minimum Standards and Procedure for Award of M.Phil./Ph.D. Degree) Regulations, 2009 or 2016 and their amendments from time to time as the case may be exempted from NET/SLET/SET:Provided, the candidates registered for the Ph.D. programme prior to July 11, 2009, shall be governed by the provisions of the then existing Ordinance/Bye-laws/Regulations of the Institution awarding the degree and such Ph.D. candidates shall be exempted from the requirement of NET/SLET/SET for recruitment and appointment of Assistant Professor or equivalent positions in Universities/ Colleges/Institutions subject to the fulfillment of the following conditions: |

| Send Hard Copy Address | Applicants are required to take 9 sets of print-outs of the Online Application Form filled by them and attach one set of hard copies of the supporting documents (i.e. Educational Qualifications, Employment Experience, Category (if any), NOC (if any), Research Details, Academic Activities etc.) with each print-out as per the Annexure s mentioned in the Online Form. These 9 complete sets (Online Application Form & one set of supporting documents) be submitted in the office of Deputy Registrar (Establishment), 2nd Floor, Administrative Block,Panjab University, Sector 14 Chandigarh-160014 by hand/ Registered Post/Speed Post on or before 02.06.2025 upto 4:00 pm. PU shall not be responsible for any Postal delays. Online application form shall close on 20.05.2025. The applicants must ensure to submit 09 sets of hardcopy of the online form filled by them up to the last date otherwise their candidature shall be liable to be rejected. |
